It wasn’t consider an upset. Mexico had breezed through their way to the final and were heavily favored to win it. The real upset was the U.S. jumping out to a 2 goal lead. Had they won against this strong 2011 Mexican squad considering the lackluster year the USMNT had, it would have been one of world football’s major upsets.
This was in 2007
The infamous 5-0 game is not credited by FIFA as the USA registered their u-23 team for that tournament. Last year was the first time Mexico beat us outside the azteca. The USA has won 10 of the last 17 meetings while Mexico has won 4. Mexico got their upset last summer, but it won’t happen again. I’m sure you were crushed after we lost, considering you’re from the USA.
They should make video just like this one for this years gold cup victory… Lol oh and maybe 2009 too (5-0)

that was the mls reserve team. the REAL team was over in south africa beating spain. and mexico seemed to get so excited over beating usa in this years gold cup too.
they get so exited and happy when the beat mexico, cuz its so difficult for them to beat mexico, the barley ever beat them. its at least once in a year when they beat them so they have to celebrate like this. jajaja mexico owns usa. their better player by player.
