U.S. Women’s Soccer Win Facing Criticism

The national soccer team of U.S. women started Women’s World Cup registering a historic win over Thailand with the score 13-0. This history they created is this is the record number of goals made by any team in WWC both in the women’s or men’s category. And the second history was this was the victory with a huge margin in this tournament. Everything happened on the ground; still, some have raised questions on the sportsmanship of players. They are criticizing this team for celebrating goals and the history they have created with too much enthusiasm.

Among many commentators doing commentary for this match, raised issue joyous twirls of Megan Rapinoe, which she did after placing ninth goal in the match. On this an analyst of ESPN Taylor Twellman, who is also a former player men’s team the U.S. Twitted left a sour taste” in his mouth. Max Bretos of ESPN looked agree to this and tweeted, “I would tone down the celebration for the 9th goal, but that’s just me.” Just like them, there are many who criticized the celebration and expressed themselves on Twitter.
