the ball took a deflection and turned up behind him, and he had to recognize that and get a backheel in while not looking at the goal. i dont think “almost missing” really means anything here. we saw how one world class player (puyol) yesterday reacted to the ball landing behind him….
That just made it 40x more epic…. especially because he hit the post….
